Jason Statham
Jason Statham is a man of many talents. He is a gifted martial artist, driver, footballer and we all know him for his amazing talent in acting. He was born July 26, 1967 in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, to dancer Eileen and Barry Statham who was a tactful street seller and singer. It was only in 2001 when the world met Statham in Guy Ritchie’s movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Jason Statham have after that established himself in the action/crime genre. An early example was The Transporter; where he played a skilled mercenary driver who delivered packages without asking questions about their content. But things soon blow out of proportion when the Frank Martins (Statham) breaks his own rules – “Never change the deal, no names, never open the package”. And when the transporter is required to deliver a package to an American gangster, he notices an oddity when changing a flat tire. It is a whole story but ends with the package and transporter saving victims of human trafficking from the packages own father. The movie is full of driving feats like none another and it certainly teeters on being an addictive movie.
Soon after showing off his driving skills in transporter, he went on to display his marksmanship in the action film Crank as Chev Chelios. Here we see him as a demented man who constantly fought with his mates and took too many drugs. It was a moving movie as it showed the world what drugs can do to people. Great excitment could be obtained from the crime thriller The Bank Job (2008) with Statham's character involved in bank hit. He never seems to shy away from acting as a hit man as we soon discovered in 2011 when The Mechanic hit our screens. Here Statham train his apprentice Steve, and the tension between them are extract from the fact Steve’s father had been killed and Statham was the culprit. The young man investigated Statham and thinking the star didn’t suspect it, he poisoned him. Knowing this, Statham has set up a plot and murders Steve in a car bomb. This movie is very exhilarating as you watch two people plot against each other with fatal results.
His most recent movie is Safe, an American film where he plays an ex cop protecting a little girl being chased by the mafia for her gift in math. She is supposed to give the number but refuses, and Luke (Statham) who is in great distress after the murder of his wife moves in to save her. Through these movies the world has seen the prowess of Englishman Jason Statham and we can only wait and see what he does next.
